Do SMS and 2FA codes still work?
Yes. Only voice calls are forwarded to Vahti. Texts, 2FA codes and bank confirmations always reach your phone.
How do I set up call forwarding?
Forward ALL calls (unconditional) from your carrier (Elisa, DNA or Telia) to your Vahti number — dial **21*number# or use Call Forwarding → All calls. About five minutes. Keep the Vahti app installed with notifications on: known callers ring in the app, the AI answers unknowns.
What happens with known vs unknown callers?
Unknown callers: Vahti answers, gets a name and reason, and sends you a summary. Contacts are recognised from your list and can ring through or follow your routing rules.
Is call audio stored?
We do not store raw audio. We store number, duration, summary and transcript. You choose how long summaries and transcripts are kept (1–90 days, default 30) in the app or dashboard — older content is deleted automatically. See the privacy policy.
Where is my data?
Call data is stored in the EU and is not sold. Processors are listed in the privacy policy.
What if the app is closed?
Unknown-call screening runs in the cloud — the app does not need to be open. Push and ringing known callers need the app and device permissions.
What do the plans include? What is €0.29/min?
Prices are on the homepage. Extra minutes are €0.29. Companies get a tailored contract and onboarding.
One number for the whole company?
Personal and professional are per user. Companies get a multi-user rollout — book a walkthrough.
How is this different from Apple or Google spam blocking?
Apple and Google mostly silence unknowns. Vahti answers in Finnish, identifies the caller and gives you a summary so you decide who to call back.
How do I turn Vahti off or cancel?
Remove unconditional forwarding at your carrier (dial ##21#) and turn it off in the app. For the account: hello@vahti.co.
Is Android supported?
Yes. The app is for iOS and Android.
How do important calls, like a doctor, get through?
Add trusted numbers to contacts and sync them in the app. Known callers stand out; unknowns are screened.
